SysDesks Terms of Service

Last revised: September 15, 2026 · Effective: September 15, 2026

1. Agreement and Educational Scope

By creating an account, starting a guest shift, or using SysDesks, you agree to these terms. SysDesks is an educational IT support simulation. It is not a production administration tool, certification, employment placement service, or substitute for an employer's procedures and authorization.

2. Accounts and Acceptable Use

You must provide accurate account information, protect your sign-in credentials, and use only your own account. You may not bypass usage limits, probe private interfaces, automate abusive traffic, interfere with other users, reverse engineer protected service logic, upload malware, or use simulation content to access a real system without authorization.

3. Free Access, Individual Memberships, and Billing

Free accounts receive the limits displayed in the product. Paid individual memberships, their current price, renewal period, taxes, and included features are shown before payment and in the billing portal. A paid membership renews automatically until cancelled. You authorise SysDesks and its payment processor to charge the payment method for each renewal unless you cancel before the next renewal. Failed, reversed, or disputed payments may suspend paid access. We may correct an obvious price, description, or technical error before or after an order, subject to applicable law.

4. Content, Scores, and Availability

SysDesks owns the platform, scenario system, interface, and original course materials. You retain rights in content you submit, while granting SysDesks permission to process it to operate and improve the service. Scores and generated responses are educational feedback and may contain errors. We may update scenarios, limits, features, or availability, and will make reasonable efforts to preserve paid access and account progress.

5. Suspension, Deletion, and Liability

We may restrict accounts involved in abuse, fraud, chargebacks, security threats, or material violations. You may delete your account from the profile page; subscription cancellation is separate. To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided as available without guarantees of uninterrupted operation, and SysDesks is not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms excludes rights that cannot legally be excluded.

6. Simulated Brands and No Affiliation

Every company, product, employee, device, address, and incident in SysDesks is fictional and exists only inside the simulation. Names such as Northline Corp, Ciscora, MicroCore, SonicShield, Orchard, HelixPrint, and Aster Browser are invented for training and are not the products they resemble. SysDesks is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or connected to any real company, and any resemblance between a simulated brand or person and a real one is coincidental. Trade marks that appear incidentally remain the property of their owners and are referred to only to describe compatibility or context.

7. Team Workspaces, Seats, and Lead Responsibilities

A Team workspace is a managed training environment. The person who creates it is its Team Owner and controls the workspace, its Team Leads, its technician seats, programme settings, invitations, and access decisions. Each invited technician must use their own account and may join only after the Team Owner or an authorised Team Lead approves the request and an available paid technician seat is assigned. Invitation codes are private credentials: do not publish, sell, or share them outside the intended organisation.

A Team subscription includes one owner seat plus the technician capacity selected at checkout. The Team Owner is responsible for all charges, taxes, authorised users, and activity in that workspace. Removing or deactivating a technician removes their Team access and may erase their Team-only progress and history; it does not reduce paid capacity or create a refund. A removed seat remains available for a future approved technician. Team Owners may add seats, and the applicable recurring charge and any provider-calculated prorated charge are shown before confirmation. Seat reductions are not offered. The alternative is cancellation of the Team subscription under the cancellation terms shown at checkout and in the billing portal.

Team Owners and authorised Team Leads can view the training records needed to run the workspace, including assigned work, ticket submissions, completion dates, scores, quiz attempts, interview feedback, and course progress. They must have a lawful basis to enrol each person and give any notice or obtain any consent required by their organisation or applicable law, especially for employees, students, and anyone under 18. Team features may only be used to manage training activity within SysDesks, not to make high-impact employment, education, credit, housing, insurance, or similar decisions without meaningful human review and any safeguards required by law.

8. AI-Generated Content

Scenarios, requester replies, coaching feedback, scores, and walkthroughs are produced partly by automated systems and are training material, not professional advice. They can be wrong, incomplete, or out of date. Do not rely on anything produced here to make a decision about a real network, a real account, a real person, or a real security incident, and do not run commands from a scenario against a system you are not authorised to administer. You are responsible for everything you do outside the simulation.

9. Disclaimers, Liability, and Indemnity

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SysDesks is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for all claims in any twelve-month period is limited to the greater of the amount you paid SysDesks in that period or fifty US dollars, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary loss, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill. You agree to indemnify SysDesks against claims arising from your breach of these terms, your misuse of the service, or your use of instructor features. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for fraud or death or personal injury caused by negligence, and nothing here removes the statutory rights of a consumer.

10. Governing Law and Disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, and the state and federal courts located in Travis County, Texas have exclusive jurisdiction — except that if you are a consumer resident in the United Kingdom, the European Union, or another place whose law gives you the right to bring proceedings locally, that right is unaffected and the mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence continue to apply. Before filing anything, please write to contact@sysdesks.com; most disputes are settled faster that way.

11. Eligibility, Strict No-Refund Policy, and General Terms

You must be at least 13 years old to use SysDesks, and at least 16 where that is the minimum age for consent to online services; anyone under 18 needs a parent, guardian, or school to agree to these terms on their behalf. All SysDesks purchases are final and non-refundable. This applies to every purchase and sign-up path, including individual memberships, Team owner charges, technician-seat charges, seat additions, renewals, upgrades, and any other paid access. We do not provide refunds, credits, or prorated refunds for unused time, unused seats, a change of mind, a technician leaving a Team, a Team Owner closing a workspace, or a failure to use the service. Cancelling stops a future renewal only as described at checkout or in the billing portal; it does not undo a completed charge.

This policy does not limit a refund, cancellation right, or other remedy that cannot legally be waived. Where a mandatory law gives you a right that conflicts with this policy, that law controls to the required extent. If any part of these terms is held unenforceable, the rest continues to apply. We may assign these terms as part of a merger or sale of the business; you may not. These terms, the Privacy Policy, and anything shown at checkout are the entire agreement between us.

12. Changes and Contact

We may revise these terms and will update the effective date or provide additional notice when required. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the revised terms. Questions may be sent to contact@sysdesks.com. Privacy questions are covered by the Privacy Policy.
